The Delhi Capitals are going through yet another crisis as their South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to injury.

Delhi Capitals on 15th March revealed details of hiring Jake Fraser-McGurk as an additional player for Lungi Ngidi's place in the playing team. Being SA20's recent player, Ngidi will be missing from the upcoming IPL 2024 season and this made the Capitals choose Fraser-McGurk.

  • Already participated in 2 One-Day Internationals for Australia.
  • Fraser-McGurk has been called up to take Ngidi's spot.
Ngidi, who has been featured in 14 IPL games, and has taken 25 wickets to his name, was unavailable for action in IPL 2024 due to injury.

Fraser-McGurk still has to prove that he can fill up the gap of Ngidi in terms of experience and firepower. The Delhi Capitals will be counting on the Australian all-rounder to quickly get accustomed to the team, and hopefully contribute to the team’s success in this season of Indian Premier League.
