4. Tristan Stubbs

South African star batter Tristan Stubbs could be the fourth man to retain his spot at the Delhi Capitals. Stubbs had a breakout season with the Delhi Capitals, at number 5, Stubbs played the finishing act for the entirety of the tournament by scoring 378 runs, along with it, Stubbs also got a few crucial wickets against the Gujarat Titans. Once viewed as a backup for Harry Brook, Stubbs could be the guy to wear the blue & red of the Delhi Capitals again next year.

5. Jake Fraser Mcgurk

The fifth retention for DC could be the pocket-dynamo Fraser McGurk. The southpaw from Australia made a refreshing start to the tournament in otherwise a troubled opening combination for the Delhi Capitals. McGurk scored a solid 65 in his debut IPL game before smashing a quick-fire 84 against the Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley stadium, with Delhi looking to release David Warner ahead of next season Jake Fraser Mcgurk could be an ideal replacement for Warner.

6. Abhishek Porel (Uncapped)

Abhishek Porel after a lukewarm season in 2023 had a blast this year at the tiny batting-friendly surface of the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Porel opened for most of the season for the Capitals, and he also had to bat in the middle order for a few games however, this didn't disturb his rhythm at all as he smashed the ball to all corners of the park. With Porel being trained under the wings of Sourav Ganguly, a young Porel from Bengal could be the player to be retained as an uncapped player.
