The T20 World Cup will commence in the United States of America and the West Indies (the official joint hosts of the competition) immediately following the end of the IPL 2024 season.

Nevertheless, the Indian cricket team has not yet been selected, the board has confirmed the participation of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but the rest of the team has not yet been decided.

Star Sports released the trailer

However, Star Sports, the tournament's official broadcast partner in India, released its first commercial featuring the Indian cricket team to maintain the excitement and hype.

The teaser served as a low-key warning to the competitors while showcasing the men in blue's readiness for the competition.

The video includes Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja, all of whom are positively confirmed to be in the team for the grand league.

The T20 World Cup will start on June 2 with India being placed in Group A alongside Canada, Pakistan, the USA, and Ireland.ย

Interestingly, India's league matches are exclusively scheduled in the United States; the eagerly awaited match against archrival Pakistan is set to take place in New York.

The finalized squad for the event is anticipated to be announced by BCCI before the end of April. Even though the bulk of experienced players will keep their spots, a few new players who just finished playing in the IPL could be cut.
