On Monday, Apr 15, the captain Travis Head of the Australian team hit one of the 4th fastest hundreds by blasting against RCB. SRH star batter’s mind-blowing innings of 98 runs became the platform for SRH to script the record score in the Indian Premier League as they piled up 281 runs against the Faf du Plessis-led side. Again it was Station and Abhishek Sharma that gave a beginning to the SRH team where both of them scored 108 runs in 8 overs.
Once the game was over, Travis Head shared that he and Abhishek Sharma were going through a bromance and they both were encouraging each other’s confidence from the inside. He believes that SRH was the most aggressive and dangerous against the RCB bowlers and was quite delighted at the way he was punishing the ball at the moment.
The surface played beautifully. We did get the ground staff's feedback as well. We thought it necessary to play differently in the first six overs. But the advantage was in the batting order we have, not that they have the license to after the bowlers,” Travis Head said when accepting the player of the match award after the game.
In his first season at SRH, the batter has been in fantastic form and has forged a solid top-order partnership with Abhishek Sharma. Once more establishing a quick rapport, both batsmen were able to slay opponents such as Reece Topley and Yash Dayal today.
