Due to a groin ache, Kuldeep Yadav was unable to play in the Delhi Capitals' last two IPL 2024 games. Although Kuldeep has been told to take it easy as a precaution, ESPNcricinfo told that they have not yet received word on when he will be fit to play.

Due to injury he left previous 2 matches

Given that Kuldeep has been traveling with the team and is presently in Mumbai, where they will play their next game on April 7 against the Mumbai Indians, the injury is most likely not significant.

Kuldeep took three wickets in his two away games for Capital this season against the Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings. However, he was unable to attend their last matches against the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Vishakhapatnam, their second home ground. Despite their victory over CSK, the Capitals' 106-run loss to KKR left head coach Ricky Ponting "almost embarrassed" as they were unable to replace Kuldeep.

Given that Kuldeep is a strong candidate to fill one of the spin positions in India's squad for the T20 World Cup, which begins on June 2 in the West Indies and the USA, the Indian selectors will be eagerly watching his progress.

Kuldeep had a triumphant five-match Test series against England, in which he bowled multiple game-winning spells, he was and is presently in very good form as he easily fetches 1-2 wickets in almost every match. He finished 2nd test with 19 wickets and was named Player of the Match in the final Test at Dharamsala after going five for four.

The Capitals' next game is on Sunday, April 12, in Lucknow against the Lucknow Super Giants.
