The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were established in 2021 and have participated in two Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons, placing them in the top four each time. The team qualified for the playoffs in the 2022 season after placing third in the group stage. They met Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator match, which put an end to their adventure. Similar results were seen in the 2023 season, as LSG once again finished third and lost the eliminator, this time to the Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions. After making it to the playoffs each of their two IPL seasons, LSG is ready to move up the standings in the points table for the upcoming 2024 season and aim to win the league's first championship.
