Another Injury Blow To SA!

Cricket South Africa received a major blow when their premium fast bowler Lungi Ngidi was ruled out of the home test season comprising of four tests against Pakistan & Sri Lanka due to a groin injury. According to reports Ngidi will only be fit in January.

South Africa begins their home test season & possibly a bid to make a place in the WTC final next year at Lord's. South Africa begin their home test season against Sri Lanka with two tests starting on November 27 at Kingsmead, Durban.

Then it was time for the other Asian team Pakistan who travel to the African nation for a 2-match test series that is scheduled to begin at Centurion on December 26.

Ngidi is a big unit in South Africa, where he has claimed 39 wickets at 17.30 in nine matches otherwise has been a mixed cycle for Ngidi where he picked up 16 wickets in 10 away tests.

No Nandre Burger Either!

South Africa will also miss the services of the potent left-arm fast bowler in Nandre Burger who is also ruled out with a lumber problem, leaving South Africa reduced with two big players missing out. On the positive side of things, Marco Jansen & Gerald Coetze have performed extremely well in the ongoing T20I series against India after their conditional breaks.

Bavuma To Undergo Fitness Test

Meanwhile, there was also an update on the regular test captain of South Africa Temba Bavuma's fitness who was ruled out of the Bangladesh test series due to an elbow injury. It is reported that Bavuma will undergo a fitness test that will determine his injury update.
