Punjab Kings Soar Up Points Table After Last-Ball Win Over Gujarat Titans

In Tuesday's match at Ahmedabad, a three-wicket win for the Punjab Kings over Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024 became thrilling. Set to face CSK, GT was confronted with the challenge to score as many numbers as they possibly could with skipper Shubman Gill registering an unbeaten knock of 89 off 48 balls. 

• After that, PBKS played a winners match on the final ball of the match, and player Shashank Singh stayed an unbeaten 61 runs on 29 balls. 
• The Gujarat Titans bowlers did not make it easy for PBKS as Ashutosh Sharma contributed with 31 runs off 17 balls.

With this win, PBKS has moved upwards from the seventh position to the fifth spot in the table points with a total of four points and a negative net run-rate of -0.220. 

Meanwhile, GT falls to sixth place after having won only two matches out of the four with a net run rate of -0.580.

• he hit six fours and four maximums to take GT home to 199 for four. 
• B Sai Sudharsan further supported them with a 19-ball 33 and an eight-ball unbeaten 23 from Rahul Tewatia.

Unfortunately for GT, though, Shashank was about to have the innings of his life as he finished undefeated on 61 off 29 balls, hitting four sixes and six boundaries to help PBKS win with one ball remaining.
