Early Career: A record-breaker in school cricket, Pooran quickly rose through the ranks, representing Trinidad and Tobago at various youth levels and making his West Indies U19 debut in 2012. He also became the youngest player to feature in the inaugural Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2013.
International Cricket: After overcoming an injury layoff, Pooran made a strong comeback in 2016, earning a West Indies T20I call-up.
