The ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the tournament's ninth edition, is set to take place from June 1 to June 29, 2024, and will be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States. This is the first time a World Cup tournament will feature matches in the United States & West Indies. The tournament will have 55 matches, with 20 teams competing. The top eight teams from the 2022 tournament and the two hosts qualified directly, while the remaining two automatic qualification spots were grabbed by the best-ranked teams in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings as of November 14, 2022.

The remaining eight berths were filled through the ICC's regional qualifications, which included two teams from Africa, Asia, and Europe, as well as one team each from the Americas and East Asia-Pacific groupings. The 20 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups of five teams, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 phase. The Super 8 stage will divide the qualifying teams into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the knockout stage, which consists of two semi-finals and a final.

The tournament will be held in the United States and the West Indies, with four venues shortlisted in the United States: Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida, Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and a temporary stadium at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York City. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be an entertaining event, with the world's finest T20 cricketers vying for the championship.
