The "Karnataka tusker," Krishnappa Gowtham, is an off-spinning all-rounder with the ability to turn the tide with both bat and ball. Look for him to contribute to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2024.
Gowtham, a Bangalore boy, rose to prominence with his off-spin and explosive lower-order hitting in domestic cricket. He earned a hefty price tag at the 2023 IPL auction, becoming the most expensive uncapped Indian player for LSG.
While his IPL 2023 season with LSG might not have been a complete standout (3 wickets in 7 games and a modest batting performance), Gowtham's talent and experience are undeniable. He's a proven match-winner in domestic tournaments and can contribute with cameos down the order and his wily off-spin.
With a new season comes a fresh start. Gowtham will be looking to prove his worth under the guidance of LSG's new coach and make a significant impact on the Lucknow team in IPL 2024.
