The Big Bash League (BBL) 2025, officially BBL 15, was staged from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026. The eight teams competed in a shorter 44-match schedule - group games culminating in knockout rounds. The season concluded with the Hobart Hurricanes winning their maiden title in the BBL, beating the Sydney Thunder in the final. Mitchell Owen was the star of the final, scoring a remarkable 108 off 42 balls - one of the best innings in BBL history. Viewership and fan engagement were on the rise, with more fans tuning in and thrilling matches that showcased fireworks. BBL 15 (2025-26) is set to build on the momentum of BBL 14, within a similar framework of fixtures plus prime time matches starting early December, and players to include a player innovation to continue both the entertainment and competitive excellence on the BBL.
