Jasprit Bumrah will return in the peak club cricketing competition(IPL 2024) this year after missing the IPL 2023 with a back stress ailment. Before IPL 2024, the elite pacer arrived at the Mumbai Indians' camp and appeared prepared for the season.

He was a member of the Indian team that competed in the 2023 ODI World Cup, taking the fourth-most wickets (20) throughout the competition. During the most recent home Test series against England, he was in great form, with a total of 19 dismissals. He became the quickest Indian pacer to achieve 150 wickets in a Test match and the joint-fastest Indian bowler to reach that mark in 34 matches during the second Test. In the meanwhile, he also made history by being the first bowler to lead the rankings in all three formats and the first Indian pacer to rank #1 in the ICC Test Player Rankings.
