The important meeting scheduled to decide the future of an uncertain Champions Trophy in Pakistan was postponed without a proper conclusion. The meeting took place for a brief period of about 20 minutes before the members decided to postpone it.
It's been understood that the PCB is not ready to accept the hybrid model at all. The board meeting was attended by 15 members- 12 full members & 3 directors of the associate nations.
According to some reports, the meeting might take a lot more than 24 hours to conclude. The sources also stated that the concerned authorities are working towards finding a proper solution for this issue.

Sources have also stated that the meeting was probably the first positive step to decide the fate of the Champions Trophy and 8-team ODI event that is happening after a long gap of 8 years. The tournament is already running well behind its deadlines with the governing body unable to share the schedule on time.
The tournament is set to be played from February 19th to March 9th. But, the entire tournament is now in crisis after the BCCI decided that Team India is not going to travel to Pakistan.
A hybrid model was proposed for the 15-match tournament with another country coming in as a host for the India games. However, the PCB has said the formula is not acceptable to it.
The only solution to it now is to have the entire tournament in another country, possibly UAE or South Africa. But for this to happen, time will be needed to relocate the entire tournament to a different country.
