I felt like I was walking on clouds when they picked me and I really couldn't wait to meet everyone else. While I should not have to explain my reasons for this choice, I don’t believe I will be able to escape questions regarding this matter. So I do want to be the one to announce this,” he had shared on his social media page after the withdrawal.
“ My grandma, who was a rock to me, passed away last month . She had a major influence on my childhood life. My character and love for cricket were shaped by her and my late grandfather,” this 25-year-old wrote.
When Brook played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in his first IPL season last year, he lit the stage on fire with a fifty-five-ball century against Kolkata Knight Riders, only to have a lackluster finish.
