Dinesh Karthik To Join England Lions Coaching Staff Ahead of India Tour

Dinesh Karthik, along with Graeme Swann and Ian Bell, forms an experienced and knowledgeable coaching team for the England Lions tour of India ahead of the much-awaited Test series between India and England in the subcontinent. England Lions will be on tour to India from January 12th to February 4th, playing up to three matches in four days against India A.

England have garnered a talented squad for 3 matches over four days, two of which will coincide with a Test series between the senior teams. India and England will play in a 5 Test series from January 25 to March 11. In addition, the team will also have a pre-match warm-up with all 4 matches scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

Neil Killeen, coach of England Men's Elite Pace Bowling Team, will lead the England Lions coaching team, which will be captained by Josh Bohannon of Lancashire. ECB has announced the appointment of Dinesh Karthik as batting consultant to the England Lions for 9 days. India A will take on England at home in a T20I and the team will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran.

England Men's performance director Mo Bobat welcomed the appointment of Dinesh Karthik, who will help England's young players gain local knowledge from the wicketkeeper-batsman.
