Disappointing Start: Nagal Ousted from Geneva Open in First Round

Sumit Nagal, the top-ranked singles player in India, lost to Sebastian Baez of Argentina in the opening round of the Geneva Open.

The Argentine, who is an expert on clay courts, defeated the world no. 94 6-7 (7), 3-6 in an hour and fifty-two minutes on Sunday.

Sumit Nagal outperformed Baez early on, gaining a 4-1 lead. He had a predetermined point, too.

Baez completed the match in 38 minutes in the second set, continuing to rely on his excellent first serve.
