The final match of IPL is the ultimate and great day in the event which determines the winners and enhances their reputation. Let's take a look at the Indians captain who have graced the biggest stage of the IPL the most:

MS Dhoni:

Also identified as Thala and having an association with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Dhoni has the credit of having played the highest number of IPL finals as a captain namely; 10. In his captaincy, CSK won five times (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023) and it was dwarfing how he was able to manage the pressure.

Rohit Sharma:

A Lucky Charm – The MI captain Rohit Sharma has been invincible in the IPL finals having appeared in five such games so far and won all of them (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). Even though he may not have as many finals matches as Dhoni, he is undefeated with a 100 percent win rate, making him a significant contender in the world of cricket.

Gautam Gambhir:

Taking the Lead – Gautam Gambhir, the previous KKR captain rose the ranks and led the team to two IPL titles (2012 & 2014). Youthful and passionate, aggressive batsman and excellent team leader, Gambhir went down in the history of the competition as a captain of KKR who won the tournament two times.

Hardik Pandya:

This is where the new generation leader and the showman – Hardik Pandya the fiery all-rounder has come up with a different personality. He is the only captain who was able to get his team to the finals of the tournament in the first 2 years of his captaincy (2022 & 2023) for GT.
