Virat Kohli is the kind of person who doesn't think in leaving things up to fate since he has faith in both his teammates and his own talents. Despite the Royal Challengers Bengaluru club suffering seven losses in its first eight games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, the star cricket player remained confident in both himself and his teammates.
On the other hand, thanks to a stronger Net Run Rate than their rival Chennai Super Kings, RCB went on to win six straight games and go to the playoffs.
A video of Kohli discussing his "1 percent theory," which became a reality on Saturday, went viral on social media as supporters celebrated RCB's success.
"One percent chance exists, and occasionally that chance is sufficient. What counts, though, is how you feel about that one percent. To turn that one into ten, and then into thirty, are you prepared to give it all you have? "It could eventually lead to something magical," Virat said in the video.

RCB defeated Punjab Kings in the first half of the league season to earn their lone victory. They then dropped their next six games to all but eliminate themselves from the postseason competition. But thanks to their wins in the following six games as well as a few other fortunate outcomes, the Bengaluru team advanced to the postseason on the basis of a higher Net Run Rate. Despite sharing a 14-point total with CSK and Delhi Capitals, RCB advanced to the knockout stages due to their somewhat higher NRR.
