Indian Wicket-Keeper batter Sanju Samson has recently revealed a hidden secret about his IPL journey. Throwing light on how a fictitious tale led to his entry into the Indian Premier League(IPL).

Samson is a seasoned campaigner and the skipper of the Rajasthan Royals(RR) franchise revealed in a viral video on X (formerly Known as Twitter) how a meeting between Sreesanth and Rahul Dravid who was Leading the Royals back then, changed his fate in professional Cricket, Recounting his early days at the Kolkata Knight Riders he revealed that how difficult it was for him to secure a spot in the 11 despite being part of the franchise since 2009.
"It was during a match against RR when Sreesanth spotted Rahul Bhai in the hotel lobby", Samson reflected in the video, "He vouched for me, saying, there's a kid from Kerala, who smashed six sixes in an over in a local tournament. We should definitely give him a trial".

The promotion done by Sreesanth reaped rewards for Sanju Samson. Despite the initial skepticism from Rahul Dravid regarding the true nature of the claim, the veteran Indian Cricketer was agile enough to recognize his Cricketing skill.
"Rahul Bhai listened to me when I introduced Sanju to him", Sreesanth admitted in an interview with SportsKeeda last year. "He didn't do well in a few practice games, but when Rahul Bhai saw him bat he was convinced"
Dravid's judgment paved the way for Sanju Samson to have an IPL debut with Rajasthan Royals in 2013, where he has become one of the mainstays and now is present there in the setup as the skipper of the side.
