Starc as the most expensive player of IPL 2024 -

In the 17th Indian Premier League, all eyes will be on Mitchell Starc, the Australian bowler who became the most expensive purchase in the history of the IPL auction. The two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders paid an incredible Rs 24.75 crore to acquire the left-arm pacer. In addition to Starc, Australia's captain Pat Cummins also turned into a high-priced purchase at the IPL 2024 auctions, as Sunrisers Hyderabad paid Rs 20.50 crore to acquire him.

Former South African all-rounder Chris Morris praised Starc's record-breaking offer from KKR earlier this month, stating that although it will put more pressure on him, the pacer will be able to justify it with his expertise and past performances.
