India won the ongoing test series against England by a monumental margin of 4-1. Although the start of the series was not very good as England won the 1st match and disappointed the team India. This was a major question on the captaincy of Rohit Sharma as he could not afford to lose a match on home soil.
Rohit Sharma and his team took cognizance of the situation and re-strategized their play. The future star - Yashasvi Jaiswal played a terrifying knock of 209 runs and almost single-handedly took the team's total to 396 runs while in the 2nd innings, Shubman Gill's ton helped India to reach the final tally of 255 runs with a surplus of 143 runs. India won the 2nd test by a gap of 106 runs.
This match was the epitome of all victories by team India as they won this match by a record-level difference of 434 runs, one of the highest in the test cricketing industry.
Rohit Sharma's 131, Jadeja's 112 in the 1st inning while Jaiswal again blasted with a double century and becoming the 2nd player ever to score a double-century in a single match again landed the team India into victory lane.
England tried to revive in the 4th test by making 353 runs in the 1st inning while batting first but all this resulted in nothing as they weren't able to continue their streak and were able to make only 145 runs in the 2nd innings. This chase became a walk-of-cake for team India and they easily won by 5 wickets.

Meanwhile, India set a new record with its impressive series victory. The Rohit Sharma-led team became the first in the last 112 years to win a Test series with a scoreline of 4-1 after losing the opening test.
When you win a Test like this, everything has to fall in place. At some stage people are gonna and people are gonna come and we know that. These guys are maybe short of experience, they have played a lot of cricket and I can stand here and see that these guys responded pretty well under pressure. The credit goes to the entire team and it was pleasing to see. When you win a series like this, we talk about scoring runs and 100s but it is important to take 20 wickets to win a Test. The way bowlers took responsibility was pleasing to see.
~said Rohit at post match presentation
It was over a period of time that we had a conversation (with Kuldeep), he's got a lot of potential and when the chips were down in the 1st innings, he bowled really well and after his injury he came back and worked at NCA and he is putting a lot of effort and the most pleasing thing was his batting. He's (talking about Jaiswal) got a long way to go, amazing to be in this position. When a guy's got talent like that who can put pressure on the bowlers from the word go, there will be lots of challenges going forward. He is a tough guy and loves the challenges, clearly superb series for him and likes to score big.

Some of the incredible performances of Indian players in this series -
Yashasvi Jaiswal: 2 Double Century
Rohit Sharma: 2 Century
Shubman Gill: 2 Century
Ashwin: 2nd Indian to fetch 500 wickets
Overall, the start was not good for Team India but they kept their promise of winning the series and continued their streak of 4 matches victory. Rohit Sharma also shut down England's skipper- Ben Stokes prediction that he will the match by 3-2
