India has been given the honor of organizing the next FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup by the Executive Board of the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
The competition is scheduled for December 2025. Up to 24 teams will compete in the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup for the first time ever.
"Providing more opportunities to play to a larger and more diverse number of National Associations is one of the key pillars of our Empowerment and Engagement strategy," stated FIH President Tayyab Ikram. This year's FIH Hockey5s World Cup in Oman demonstrated the enormous benefit that more diversity adds to our competitions.
Consequently, I'm thrilled that more teams are taking part in the FIH Hockey Junior World Cups, and I'm excited to see these 24 young teams, who are the future of our sport, compete next year! At this point, we would want to sincerely thank Hockey India for their dedication to putting on again another amazing tournament!
"We're delighted that the International Hockey Federation (FIH) chose India to host the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025," stated Dr. Dilip Tirkey, President of Hockey India. We would like to thank Dato Tayyab Ikram, President of the FIH, and the FIH for entrusting us with this competition.
This esteemed competition demonstrates India's rising significance in international hockey and our commitment to advancing the game for next generations. We're thrilled to introduce India's rich hockey heritage and offer a platform for upcoming players to display their abilities.
