The International Cricket Council has been advised by Pakistani cricket officials to hold India's qualifying round matches for the Champions Trophy in a single city the next year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board, which will host the Champions Trophy in 2025, has selected three locations to host the competition: Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, which will also host the final.

ICC General Manager visits Pakistan:

The PCB high brass recommended that the Indian team's travel schedule be maintained to a minimal during the visit to Lahore by ICC general manager Wasim Khan, who also recently visited the city, according to a PCB source.

Another report from PTI states that Wasim Khan, the General Manager of the ICC, visited Lahore and spoke with the PCB about the Champions Trophy. He expressed special interest in Team India's possible itinerary for the competition.

The insider went on to say that India may host its first qualifying round matches in Karachi before moving on to the other locations for the knockout stages.

India's previous visit to Pakistan was for the 2008 Asia Cup, and it has been 17 years since then. There hasn't been a bilateral cricket series between the two countries in more than 11 years due to tensions in their political and diplomatic ties.
