The majority of the Indian Players along with the staff members will be traveling to New York on May 25 while the remaining members will join the squad once the IPL finals are concluded.
Earlier the members of those teams who failed to qualify for the playoffs were scheduled to leave on May 21 after the last league of the tournament which is scheduled for 19th May, But now there are certain changes in the travel and logistics, and now the first batch will be flying out to New York only on May 25.
Players Like Skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, and Axar Patel are some of the key personnel which are slated to fly along with the support staff to New York come May 25.
Earlier the departure was scheduled for 21st May but since the Indian Team is now only scheduled to play a solitary warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1, the players can spend some extra time at home with their families.
Those players who are playing in the IPL finals on May 26 will stay back and will leave for New York the very next day.
These arrangements are made player-friendly so that they can get a good amount of net sessions at least 3-4 quality net sessions, and it will also ensure that there is no jetlag.
