IPL 2024 will be starting from March 2024. A total of 173 players from 10 franchises participating in the IPL 2024 have been retained ahead of the mini-auction to be held on 19th December 2023 in Dubai.
There has been an increase in the purse limit of the teams for the IPL 2024, making the purse value ₹100 crore (US $12 million). Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained 19 players each for their squads. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders have retained 13 players. The total money spent to hold the 173 players was ₹737.05 crores.
