Bumrah now holds the distinction of being the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the league's history, erasing Harbhajan Singh's previous top-10 record. In his 125 matches, he has 155 wickets at a mean of 22.56, with a career strike rate of 18.46. He owns best bowling figures of 5/10. Harbhajan is the other way with 150 wickets in 163 matches also.
So far, in the ongoing season of IPL 2024, Bumrah turned out to be the Purple Cap winner and captured 10 wickets in five matches at an average of 11.90 with the best figures of 5/21.
