LSG praised the much-anticipated return of the pacer Mayank Yadav in their most recent social media post. Morne Morkel, Lucknow's bowling coach, said that Mayank is fit and ready for the encounter against MI on Tuesday, April 30, at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The fast bowler has missed the last five games for LSG and is likely to return to the team.

The official social media handle of the LSG franchise shared a special video of Mayank roaring. The video included background music from the Tamil film, Vikram Vedha's renowned tune Karuppu Vellai. The caption in the video included a timer emoji.

This could indicate that the clock is ticking for Mayank's return. The new Indian fast-bowling sensation garnered headlines due to his incredible pace. Mayank made his debut against PBKS, taking three wickets in his first match to win Player of the Match. However, what drew everyone's attention was Mayank's speed. In his four overs, the bowler maintained a speed of more than 150 kilometers per hour.

He went on to bowl the then-fastest delivery in IPL 2024, at 155.8 kmph. The young gun went on to break his record in the very following match, bowling at a fiercely 156.7 kmph. He proved to be LSG's hero yet again, taking three wickets against RCB and winning back-to-back Player of the Match awards.

Why Mayank Yadav has missed his previous matches?

In one of his overs, Mayank conceded 13 runs & left the field during the game, and it was later discovered that he was experiencing lower stomach pain.
