The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the start of ticket sales for the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs. Cricket enthusiasts are eager as the knockout stage is set to begin on May 21.
The cities of Ahmedabad and Chennai are ready to host these decisive matches that will determine the champion of this cricketing extravaganza.
As the IPL 2024 league phase nears its end, the excitement for the playoffs is at an all-time high. The action-packed playoffs will commence with Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 21.
This will be immediately followed by the Eliminator, scheduled for May 22 at the same venue. The focus will then shift to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which will host Qualifier 2 on May 24 and the much-anticipated Final on May 26.

Cricket fans can start purchasing tickets for these high-octane matches from May 14. RuPay Card Holders are in for a treat as they get an exclusive chance to buy passes for Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, and Qualifier 2 starting from 6 PM IST on May 14. For those without RuPay cards, the ticket sales will open the next day, on May 15.
The sale of tickets for the grand IPL Final will commence on May 20, with RuPay Card holders again getting the privilege of priority access. The general public can buy tickets for the Final from May 21. Tickets are available online on the official IPL website, as well as through the Paytm App, Paytm Insider App, and Insider.in starting from 6 PM IST on the announced dates.
The playoff race is heating up with Kolkata Knight Riders having already clinched a spot. Six other teams, namely Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals, are fiercely competing for the remaining three spots. Whereas Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans stand eliminated.
