The IPL fever is once again catching up with the cricketing world as the Indian Premier League prepares itself for another mega auction and possibly the biggest-ever auction in terms of a new chapter in IPL history.

The retention rules as of now are still unknown, but the franchises have already started to create a roadmap for 2025 to whom to release and whom to retain, with things slowly heating up let's begin with RCB's probable retention list.

RCB's Likely Retention List for IPL 2025

1. Virat Kohli

The former RCB captain is an automatic choice to be retained at the RCB franchise, the Indian maestro has had a big impact on this franchise leading them to the finals of IPL 2016 almost single-handedly. Kohli has been a cult figure for the Chinnaswamy crowd in all these years, this is a foregone conclusion that Kohli is going to wear the black and red jersey of RCB again next year.

2. Mohammad Siraj

Siraj comes second on the list, a young Indian fast bowler who has given many memorable games for RCB, especially in the 2-3 seasons, Siraj is fondly remembered for his brilliant performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021 where he was picked up 4 wickets for 13 runs. With RCB always being a batting-heavy side they would want to retain Siraj as the leader of the bowling group.

3. Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar could be the third player on the retention list, the MP batter has had 3 wonderful seasons for the Bangalore-based franchise that has also ensured him getting selected for the national team across formats. Patidar, in this year's IPL, played a crucial role in helping RCB to qualify for the playoffs that looked like a distant dream at one point in time.

4. Will Jacks

The England all-rounder also gave a decent performance in his brief IPL campaign, Jacks smashed a brilliant ton against the Gujarat Titans in this year's IPL while chasing a score over 200. Jack's quickfire ton ensured RCB finished the game with 4 overs to spare and also helped them to better their NRR. Jacks can also bowl decent off-spin which gave another spin option to RCB in what otherwise was a light spin department.

5. Yash Dayal

A journey to remember for Yash Dayal, from conceding 5 sixes to Rinku Singh to getting the wicket of MS Dhoni in the last over in RCB's virtual quarter-final game against CSK. Dayal had an average first half of the IPL but, he showed great character and made a great comeback in the second half of the tournament. His notable performances have earned him a spot in the test squad. RCB is looking for a partner for Mohammad Siraj for pace department, hence Dayal could well be the 5th and the final retention for RCB ahead of IPL 2025.
