Since breaks during India's Tour of South Africa, Ishan Kishan has been in the news nonstop for the past month. Although Ishan Kishan's choice to take leave was supported by the BCCI, numerous reports have indicated that some people were taken aback by his lack of playing time following the Tour's conclusion. Ishan Kishan has been missing from the scene even though Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid stated that Ishan Kishan needs to play cricket in some capacity to return to the national side. Ishan has been training alone instead of partaking in the top domestic competition, the Ranji Trophy campaign, which is still going on. These have led to speculation about Ishan Kishan's future in Indian cricket.
Asked if Kishan Kishan would find himself out of BCCI retainership (he has a grade C annual contract of Rs 1 crore), a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity: "No discussions have taken place as of now regarding central contracts."
The ICC T20 World Cup in America, which begins on June 1 and features India's opening match in New York on June 5, makes the workload of India's core group of players crucial throughout the IPL, which is provisionally set to run from March 23 to May 29.
It is acknowledged, nonetheless, that no Indian player is to get instructions regarding workload management during the Indian Premier League, as this would be unfair to the franchises that are paying high salaries to prominent Indian players.
They are being paid highly and they can't pick and choose games for franchises. But yes, for all those centrally contracted and targetted players (next lot), the franchise's support staff will have to regularly provide fitness updates to the NCA Sports Science head Nitin Patel

It's known that BCCI may send players to New York whose teams don't make it to the IPL play-offs sooner, and players who go through the knockout rounds would join them after the competition.
