However, England couldn't win a multi-format series against Australia at home, they drew it at 8-8. Thanks for all your hard work, Lewy 🤝
Reflecting on his tenure as head coach, Lewis said that he was extremely joyful for the time he spent as coach and would look to drive women's cricket forward in a different capacity.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time as the head coach of the England Women's Cricket team. Unfortunately, I'll not be able to complete this joyful yet enjoyable role of developing Women Cricketers whilst winning in the process & also developing the Women's game in the UK"
"I've worked day in & day out to develop this batch of cricketers, enhancing their skills whilst making good progress last year winning 83% of our games, I'm still motivated to develop Women's cricket whenever the opportunity comes to me," Lewis said.
