Former Indian Cricketer Vinod Kambli's financial woes continue to grow. According to a report in News 18 Vinod Kambli is surviving without a phone from the last 6 months. Kambli's phone was seized by a shopkeeper after he failed to pay a repair fee of his phone which was close to 15000.
Kambli was admitted to the hospital after having blood clots in his brain & a urinary tract infection. While, Kambli has managed to overcome the health battle but, still continues to struggle against the financial crunch.
Kambli receives Rs 30,000 monthly pension from BCCI and he received an aid of Rs 5 lakh from a political party. Kambli also faced issues in getting the medical treatment done but, was helped by many individuals including his cricket colleagues
Now, Kambli is at the risk of losing his home as her better half Andrea Hewitt has stated that their housing society is asking to them to pay a hefty 18 Lakh rupee as maintenance failing which, they can lose their home.
Kambli was discharged from a private hospital at Bhiwandi in Thane district on Wednesday afternoon after undergoing treatment for nearly two weeks. He walked out of the hospital around 4 pm.
52-year-old Kambli was initially admitted to Akruti Hospital for urinary infection and cramps, but the doctors realized that the clots were actually in the brain.
Kambli also gave a new year's message to the people to quit alcohol & stay away some all sorts of drugs and lead a healthy life. Kambli also stated that he will soon be back on the field fit and fine.

Kambli who is now "completely fit" will still have to take certain precautions, said Dr Vivek Trivedi who treated him.
Vinod Kambli was the third youngest batter to score a double century in test cricket & was also the first batter to score two double tons twice in two matches. Kambli also became the first batter to score centuries against three different outfits. Kambli achieved another big feat in the white jersey for team India by being the fastest Indian to score 1000 test runs in just 14 innings.
Kambli was the first batter to score a hundred on his birthday. In the first class arena, Kambli is at the 12th spot for having the highest first class average in world cricket.
