T20Is are all about fast scoring, but even the best cricketing teams have batting catastrophes. It could be a spell of fast bowling, or under lights pressure but many of the best teams have scored very little. This is a quick look back at the five lowest team scores along with the other team and the context of the games.

Top Lowest Score Team in T20I

1. West Indies - 45 All Out vs England (2019, St. Kitts)

In March 2019, the West Indies were dismissed for a paltry 45 runs in only 11.5 overs from England - the lowest T20I total by a full-member nation. Chris Jordan took 4 wickets and not one West Indies batter scored more than 11. England chased down the total in 5.3 overs.

2. New Zealand - 60 All Out vs Sri Lanka (2014, Chattogram)

In the 2014 ICC T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka bowled New Zealand out for the embarrassing total of 60 runs while defending only 119. Rangana Herath's spell of 5 for 3 tore through New Zealand, losing 8 wickets to spin.

3. India - 74 All Out vs Australia (2008, Melbourne)

On their tour of Australia, India faced a ruthless pace attack and were bowled out for a miserable 74 all out against Australia. Brett Lee and Nathan Bracken served the batting with the ball swinging, hence leading to India having 74 as its lowest T20I total to date.

4. Pakistan – 74 All Out vs Australia (2021, Dubai)

Pakistan's massive collapse against Australia in the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-finals saw them bowled out for just 74 runs. Australia had done very well, particularly Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa, and easily chased down the total.

5. South Africa - 89 All Out vs Australia (2023, Durban)

In August 2023, South Africa chased 227 set by Australia and were bowled out for just 89. Tanveer Sangha made a very impressive debut taking 4 wickets and showed how deep the Australian top order is. South Africa's total was the lowest T20I total at home.
