When Mohammad Amir first appeared on the pitch, he was regarded as one of the top fast-bowling talents in Pakistani history. The left-arm fast bowler demonstrated his talent and quickly advanced through the ranks.

Charged for spot-fixing -

However, an off-field incident halted his career. Amir was accused of spot-fixing in 2010 and sentenced to a five-year ban for bowling two deliberate no-balls. He even served three months in jail. Amir made a comeback in 2015 and also played for the national team the following year.

Retired from all international formats except franchise matches -

In 2019, he retired from Test cricket, and in 2020, from all other forms of international cricket. However, Mohammad Amir continues to compete in franchise cricket leagues. Still, the stain of spot-fixing has not left Amir. A recent video that has gone viral on social media shows a Pakistani crowd referring to Amir as a 'fixer'. Initially, he didn't say anything but later came back and said, "Ghar se ye seekhke aate ho (do you learn such things from home)?"

In PSL 2024, Mohammad Amir has claimed 6 wickets in his first seven games.

Amir alleged DC for misbehaving with his family -

Amir recently claimed that during a match, the Multan Deputy Commissioner mistreated his family and wrongfully outstayed them out of the stadium. Amir made his accusations on social media and even tagged Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab province in Pakistan, urging him to take action against the officer.

Shocked by the unacceptable behavior of the Deputy Commissioner of Multan, who reportedly mistreated my family, arrogantly claiming ownership of the ground & unjustly ejecting them during a match. This abuse of power is intolerable! Urging authorities for immediate action.

A day later Amir posted an update on the issue.

I am highly grateful for the chief minister's @MaryamNSharif attention to my matter and for taking out the precious time to call me. All misunderstanding has been cleared by Deputy Commissioner Multan himself, I sincerely appreciate it and extend my best wishes to you as you embark on your new journey.
