Star Bangladeshi Keeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim has been ruled out of the upcoming test series against the West Indies. A member of their national selection panel confirmed the news to Cricbuzz, also stating that he could be available for the ODI series against West Indies.
Mushfiqur injured the tip of his right index finger while he was keeping the wickets in the opening ODI against Bangladesh at Sharjah. This injury has subsequently ruled him out of the ongoing ODI series too.
It has been reported that Mushfiqur's injury will take at least 4-6 months to fully recover meaning he'll not be available for the test matches.

"Yes he is ruled out of the test series, he injured his right index finger against Afghanistan, so, he won't be going for the test matches against West Indies, as his injury will take a month or more to recover" National Selector stated
"For ODI's we still have time on our hands we'll see how he responds to the rehabilitation program and then take a call," he concluded
Following two Tests, Bangladesh will also play three ODIs and as many T20Is against the West Indies and it is understood that Mushfiqur will join the team, Rahim will only be playing the ODI leg of the tour as he is already retired from the T20Is.
Mushfiqur, who usually bats at number 4 or 5 came at 7 down due to the injury, Rahim is expected to leave for Bangladesh soon. The selectors haven't named a replacement for the veteran Wicketkeeper-batter.
In the opening ODI Bangladesh restricted the Afghanistan side to a decent 235 in 46 overs. In reply, Bangladesh collapsed from 132-3 to 143 all-out to go down by a heavy margin of 92 runs.
