Star batter Rohit Sharma, who is playing for the Mumbai Indians (MI), has received a lot of appreciation from former opening batsman for India Navjot Singh Sidhu. After being relieved of his position before the commencement of the season, Rohit is now playing for MI under Hardik Pandya's captaincy. As of right now, MI has lost both of its IPL 2024 matches against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT). In those games, Rohit has scored 26 and 43, respectively.
Using social networking site X, Sidhu expressed his opinion that MI is fortunate to have a player of Rohit's caliber in their lineup. He used one of his signature poetic methods to praise Rohit's spirit.

For the Mumbai Indians, Rohit has been nothing short of a miracle. Rohit, who debuted for the team in 2011 as a promising young player, has participated in 199 IPL games while wearing blue and gold, amassing 5,084 runs with a strike rate of 129.86 and an average of 29.39 since joining the team. In 195 innings for MI, he has amassed a century and 34 fifties, his highest being 109*.
Rohit led the team to its golden age after succeeding Ricky Ponting as captain in 2013. The team won the trophy five times in ten years (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020) and made it to the playoffs twice. He was replaced as captain by Hardik Pandya last year, who joined the team that turned him into a star after two fantastic years with the Gujarat Titans (GT), which included a championship-winning in 2022.
Along with that, Rohit led MI to two Champions League T20 championships in 2011 and 2013. At an average of 29.59 and a strike rate of nearly 130, the 'Hitman' is MI's all-time leading run-scorer with 5,357 runs in 208 matches and 204 innings, including 35 fifties and a century in 204 innings.
MI's next game is on Monday against Rajasthan Royals.
