Sachin Tendulkar had every right to celebrate on March 16, 2012, when he became the first batsman in history to score 100 centuries in international cricket. The Master Blaster accomplished the feat during India's Asia Cup 2012 match against Bangladesh at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Tendulkar opened the batting and made 114 runs from 147 balls, including 12 fours and a six. After India lost Gautam Gambhir early in the game, Tendulkar and Virat Kohli recovered with a 148-run partnership.
Tendulkar reached his half-century off 63 balls during this time. He then took his time and made his century off of 139 balls. Mashrafe Mortaza, the renowned captain of Bangladesh, removed him from the game in the 47th over.
In addition to Tendulkar, Kohli and Suresh Raina also contributed significantly, with respective knocks of 51 and 66. With his bat, MS Dhoni swung it around for an undefeated 21 from 11 balls.
Bangladesh was able to limit India to a total of 289 for 5 in their allotted 50 overs after winning the toss and choosing to field first.

With both teams giving excellent performances, the game was a showcase for cricket at its best. The most memorable part of Sachin Tendulkar's career was this inning, which was another significant turning point.
Bangladesh responded with a display of their batting prowess, reaching 293 for 5 after chasing down the score with 5 wickets remaining and 4 balls remaining. This triumph demonstrated the Bangladeshi team's rising prominence in international cricket and served as more than just a win.
Bangladesh's win was greatly aided by Shakib Al Hasan, who won Player of the Match for his all-around effort. Despite failing to take a wicket, Shakib amassed 49 runs off of 31 balls, including two sixes and five fours. Just when the Tigers needed someone to step it up, along came his knock.
