The controversy fired up when the former cricketer from India, Parthiv Patel brought a thread regarding the perfect captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the India captain at the moment, in front of the imperfect reign of MS Dhoni, who is a legend for the Indian wicket-keeper batsmen.
"As for me, Rohit Sharma job is probably the most important thing, and Hardik and Jasprit Bumrah are the best examples of it. Jasprit joined Mumbai Indians in 2014, and by 2015, his performance within the team wasn't great," Parthiv told.
"I suppose this is his key ability. The IPL is very challenging in this respect and captains find taking decisions on the move extremely hard. He did it all right for Mumbai, as you can see", he added.
Dhoni, one of the greatest captains of all time, clinched victory for India in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. His wise and composed approach is deeply ingrained in the hearts of Indian cricket fans.
"Hardik Pandya is the same. He arrived and gained popularity in 2015. Despite having a poor season in 2016, Pandya persevered with MI and developed into the player he is now." He went on to say that Rohit has an unrivaled sense of composure.
"Even MS Dhoni made mistakes like giving Pawan Negi an over, but you never see a blunder from Rohit when he is keeping the process simple. Simplifying the work procedures is something that MS Dhoni teaches but we all see Rohit do that as well in games," added Parthiv.
