Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) superstar, lashed out at critics of his strike rate after leading his team to a victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (April 28). Kohli struck an undefeated half-century (70 runs) and defeated GT by nine wickets, chasing down 201 in just 16 overs. In his post-match press conference, Kohli addressed those who were critical of his strike rate or his playing against spin.

Not really, I think all the people who talk about strike rates and me not playing spin well are the ones who love talking about this stuff. But, for me, it's about winning the game for the team. And there is a reason you have done this for 15 years," Kohli said after his unbeaten 70* off 44 against Gujarat Titans (GT).
You have done this, day in and day out. You have won games for your team. And I don't know if you have been in that situation yourself, to sit and speak about the game from a box.
I don't think it's the same thing. For me, it's about doing the job for the team. People can sit and talk about their ideas and assumptions of the game. But those who have done it, day in and day out, they know what they are doing. It's muscle memory for me.

RCB showed its batting prowess against GT

Aside from Kohli's 70*, Will Jacks scored an unbeaten hundred which led RCB to win with 24 balls left. Jacks' innings featured ten sixes and five boundaries, while Kohli had six fours and three sixes. GT only only one wicket, with Faf du Plessis contributing 24 off 12. Now RCB has 6 points in his pocket but still at last position in the points table.
