No Entry For Lamichhane in the US

Former Nepal skipper Sandeep Lamichhane has been denied a visa to make an entry to the United States, the cricketer announced his social media channel today. He was expected to link up with the squad for the team's warm match against Canada. His conviction of rape was recently overturned by the Nepal High Court last week.

Nepal is placed in Group D alongside the Netherlands, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Nepal will play its initial games in the USA against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Dallas and Florida before flying out to St. Vincent to play against Bangladesh and South Africa.

This is the second time such a situation has come to the Nepalese Leg Spinner, he was denied a Visa back in 2019 when his Visa was rejected initially to play in the CPL, The Visa is very important to play in the CPL, but he eventually got the visa. There is no clarity on whether he will join the squad in the West Indies or not. He has not been added to the squad yet.
