Shreyas Iyer is going to play cricket in the domestic matches. The middle-order batsman for India, who came under speculations for missing the team's recent quarterfinal matchup with Baroda in Mumbai, has been added to the semifinal match. That match is set to begin on March 2 in Mumbai. Tamil Nadu and Mumbai will play each other in the final four.
Iyer's comeback to domestic cricket may answer some of the criticisms thrown at him for allegedly ignoring domestic cricket despite being declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Shreyas Iyer is fit and available for selection as per the handover report of the Indian team after the second Test match against England. There are currently no fresh injuries reported after he departs from Team India.
~stated Nitin Patel, the head of the NCA, in a communication to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
However, according to people close to the athlete, Iyer has been dealing with regular back discomfort, which needed surgery last year.
Shivam Dube has been left out of the Mumbai selectors' 16-person squad. The all-rounder is reportedly receiving therapy at the NCA and will need at least three more weeks to go back to full strength. He is out for the rest of the Ranji Trophy, so even if Mumbai makes it to the final, he won't be available. Ajinkya Rahane will serve as the team's leader.
While in Kishan's absence, India called up KS Bharat for a Test before giving Dhruv Jurel his first Test cap, and he was named Player of the Match for his 90 and 39* in Ranchi when India built a terrific 3-1 lead in the five-match series. Earlier this month, Kishan trained at a private facility in Baroda with his IPL captain, Hardik Pandya.
Ishan Kishan, who came in everyone's eye for skipping domestic games, was spotted competing in the DY Patil T20 cricket event in Mumbai. Despite directions from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to play domestic cricket, the keeper-batsman remained in Baroda and continued his preparations for the IPL.
Whether the BCCI took his contempt for its instructions seriously will be seen when the central contracts are announced.
