Injury woes for the defending champions of WPL - Royal Challengers Bengaluru - continued as Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of the third season, which kick-started on February 14. Patil was named in RCB's squad for the season but failed to recover from her shin injury on time.
All-rounder Sneh Rana has been roped in as Patil's replacement. Rana has already joined the main squad, having traveled to Vadodara earlier this week as she was a part of RCB's training camp.

Shreyanka played a vital role in RCB's title-winning campaign of 2024, picking up the Purple Cap with 13 wickets in eight games—four of them in the final against Delhi Capitals. She joins Asha Sobhana and Sophie Molineux on the injury list, while RCB is also without Kate Cross and Sophie Devine.
Sneh Rana, meanwhile, has played in 12 games across two seasons of the WPL for Gujarat Giants and even captained them in two matches when Beth Mooney was injured. The all-rounder, however, went unsold in the auction ahead of this season but has now found a home at the holders.
