Team India on High Alert: ICC Responds to Terror Threat for T20 World Cup Match Against Pakistan

As per the latest information, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 match for India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) will be scheduled at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 09. Despite the latest countdown among fans of the celestial event, a new terror alert has been avowed by a Pro-ISIS group, according to a Report on the Daily mail portal. These reports are predicated on a terror picture which refers towards the terror attack in New York about the IND vs PAK match.

According to the governor’s office,

The situation is being observed and the latest statement they “have received no information indicating any credible public safety threat at this time.” The stadium of Eisenhower Park is situated 25 miles east of Manhattan and will be hosting eight matches of the ICC T20 WC from June 3-12, including the most-awaited clash between two Asian neighbors.

Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul Statement:

"I have also directed the New York State Police to engage in elevated security measures, including an increased law enforcement presence, advanced surveillance, and thorough screening processes," she stated.

"Public safety is my top priority and we are committed to ensuring the Cricket World Cup is a safe, enjoyable experience,".

A representative for the ICC stated,

"Our top focus is ensuring everyone's safety and security throughout the event, and we have a thorough and effective security strategy in place. To make sure that the necessary preparations are in place to reduce any threats identified to our event, we carefully collaborate with the authorities in the nations where we are hosting, as well as continuously observe and assess the worldwide scene."

An official statement from the International Cricket Council (ICC) stated, "We have a comprehensive and robust security plan in place and the safety and security of everyone at the event is our No. 1 priority."
