As we end up with the final eight being Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain(PSG), Arsenal, Atletico, and Dortmund. It creates a gamut of heritage clubs to battle it out for the semis. With mega football stars, of mega football clubs fighting to be a part of the European football legacy. Let's arrange some of the most anticipated matchups that the world waits for.

UCL ROUND OF 16 DRAMA :

UCL Round of 16 LEG 1:

European giants Bayern Munich fell out against an average Lazio was a shock that many avid football fans didn't anticipate. Following a harsh blow against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this defeat doubled down on Thomas Tuchel’s ‘Super Bayern’. Whereas, Bayern’s bitter German nemesis Borussia Dortmund managed a stalemate against the young Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. Defending Champions Manchester City had a comfortable away victory in the Danish Capital against Copenhagen. Brahim Diaz gifted the UCL Kings a goal and a night to remember for Real Madrid in Leipzig, Germany. Whereas the Catalonian half of Spain pulled a draw away at Naples against Victor Osimhen’s Napoli. Another capital club from Madrid faced a close defeat away at San Siro against the previous runner-up Inter. Porto pulled a surprising win against the in-form PL title contenders Arsenal at Estadio de Dragao. And, Mbappe sealed the job for PSG against Sociedad in Paris.

UCL ROUND OF 16 LEG 2:

2nd Leg of the UCL saw many turnarounds, Bayern beat Lazio comfortably at Allianz, Barca finished the job against a lackluster Napoli, Real Madrid held on to a draw against Leipzig to go through on aggregate, Arsenal battled it out against Porto to eventually win on penalties, PSG and Manchester City comfortably go through the next round thanks to Mbappe and Halland respectively. As it boils down to grit, Atletico Madrid slandered the hopes of last year's runners-up Inter in an exciting penalty win at the Wanda Etropolitano. Again in Germany, Dortmund’s fairytale signing Jadon Sancho books a seat for them in the quarterfinals.

UCL Quater Final Showdown:

Now, football has stepped into its serious stuff. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona would be collecting another Champions League quarterfinal appearance, making them the clubs to have the highest number of appearances at this stage of the tournament. There are no bad ties at this stage of the tournament, Bayern comes into this stage as its holy grail and the only chance to get their hands on some silverware this season.

Barcelona reached this stage for the first time without the help of the little Argentinian ‘Leo Messi’, blowing past the miseries of the Europa League horror show. Real Madrid and Manchester City are the favorites to go all the way to the title. Atletico and Arsenal on the other hand come up to be the dark horses, both the Spanish and English side enjoying tremendous domestic feat, would be confident to bag it all. PSG with the French Starlet “Mbappe” is into consideration as well to go far into this tournament. Whereas for Dortmund coming up this far into the tournament is an achievement considering their performances in the league this season.
