IPL 2024 Till Now

Tata IPL 2024 is gearing toward its business end where every game now holds a lot of significance, every game now is more or less a knockout game. In all this chaos a team from nowhere has made a resounding comeback from the dumps, The Royal Challengers from Bengaluru a team that was at rock bottom a month ago, hadn't won a game for a month, suddenly is on a dream run winning 5 matches on trot to have a real shot at the playoffs.

Without Further Delay Let's Discuss the Qualification Scenarios for RCB:-

Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) are currently placed fifth in the points table after a convincing win over Delhi Capitals(DC) at home and they still have a realistic chase to book a place in the top four thanks to their healthy net run rate of 0.387.

They take on Chennai Super Kings(CSK) in their last game which can be a virtual knockout if some of the other results featuring Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) and Lucknow Supergiants(LSG) go their way. In that case, RCB has to beat CSK by 18 runs or more to surpass them on NRR (assuming they score 200 while batting first). If they are set a target of 201, they will have to get there in 18.1 overs or earlier. RCB will be knocked out regardless of their victory margin against CSK if SRH wins at least one and LSG wins both their remaining games.

What Lies Ahead For RCB?

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face old foes Chennai Super Kings at home in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium Which will be the last league game for both sides, it's most likely to be a virtual Quarter Final a win for RCB keeps them in the hunt depending on what happens elsewhere, a loss for RCB will mean they stand eliminated. Their Counterparts Just need to win to secure a playoff berth, a loss could lopsided the Table.
