Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their third match of the season, thanks to Virat Kohli's and Will Jack's sparkling play. Kohli scored an unbeaten 70 from 44 balls and Will Jack's 100 in 41 balls to help his team defeat Gujarat Titans by nine wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Will Jacks also delivered an outstanding performance to lead RCB to victory. While Kohli laid the groundwork for the 201-run chase, Jacks completed it in record time with a century. The duo put together a 166-run partnership as RCB won in 16 overs.
It was undoubtedly a memorable event for Jacks, who appears to be a fan of Kohli.
After both players' game-winning performances, the RCB posted a photo of them on Instagram. Jacks included an old tweet in the story as well.
The king for a reason 👑 @imVkohli

In October 2022 when Kohli scripted a miraculous finish against Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup, Jacks had written, “The king for a reason,” tagging the former Indian skipper.
With the performance against GT, Kohli was able to maintain his #1 ranking on the Orange Cap table. In addition, he became the first player in this IPL to score more than 500 runs. From his ten tournament appearances thus far, Kohli has an outstanding average of 71.42.
In Ahmedabad, the RCB chose to bowl first after winning the toss.
The hosts dropped their first two openers, the innings were then saved by an 86-run partnership between Shahrukh Khan and Sai Sudarshan. As GT scored 200 runs in 20 overs, David Miller also contributed with a vital cameo of 26 runs.
Alongside Kohli, RCB captain Faf du Plessis got off to a good start in the opening innings but was unable to continue. The South African batsman was removed by Sai Kishore after smashing 24 off 12 balls.
Even with the victory, RCB remains last in the IPL rankings. After ten games, they presently have six points. On May 4, RCB will play GT again in their next match.
