What is WPL?

The Women's Premier League, or WPL, is a women's T20 franchise league. Although this league is based in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) owns and runs the WPL.
The inaugural WPL season took place in Mumbai and at the Navi Mumbai Cricket Stadium in March 2023. The Mumbai Indians squad was the first to win the competition out of the five teams that took part.
The BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly, declared in February 2022 that the women's IPL would take place and gave it the name WPL. Like the IPL, the WPL is a T20 cricket competition,

In the WPL tournament, five teams will take part. Every team plays other teams, and the team with the most points at the end of the regular season advances to the semifinals. WPL's final season ran from March 4, 2023, until March 26, 2023. This tournament took place between 2023 and 2023 and featured 22 matches that were played at Mumbai's D Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium.
