According to an Indian Express article, a Bengal fast bowler Akash Deep is scheduled to make his debut for the Indian cricket team in the fourth Test match against England in Ranchi commencing on Friday. Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah was dropped from the Ranchi Test team, and Mukesh Kumar was added back, the BCCI confirmed on Tuesday. Nevertheless, the article suggests that Mohammed Siraj will likely be partnered with Akash Deep, Mukesh's Ranji Trophy colleague.
In two games for India A against the England Lions in Ahmedabad, Akash Deep claimed ten wickets, demonstrating his strong recent form. Along with his success in the domestic circuit, he has collected 104 wickets at an average of 23.58 from 30 first-class matches with Bengal.

Senior batsman KL Rahul was ruled out of the fourth match, which starts in Ranchi on Friday, while Bumrah was dismissed from the Indian Test team.
