Glenn Maxwell has compared Mayank Yadav pace with Shaun Tait's speed at that time saying that both were equally formidable. Notably, at the peak, Mayank Yadav's pace was considered equivalent to what Shaun Tait could manage.
Mayank was the lone defender victim by the Maxwell, who hit the Royal Challengers and lost to Lucknow Super Giants at home on Tuesday. Mayank's marvelous performance did not just give him his second in a row player-of-the-match trophy but left an electric atmosphere in the stadium, as he dismissed Maxwell with two deliveries over 150kph and Green was an easy catch of him.
Maxwell stated, "He was excited," after which he added, "I watched a few of his deliveries and did some research." But until that happens it's all just theoretical till you see someone holding it in their hand and have to try and take hold of the entire thing.
" And he gave me the first wicket, which was simply a high bouncer, and we have been getting a little bit of two-paced wickets here in Bengaluru and it sort of came through a bit slower than I thought it was going to." Not too bad, I thought.
Mayank Yadav is once again wrecking havoc with his pace. He has dismissed Glenn Maxwell with a steep bouncer before cleaning up Cam Green with a peach.

In terms of pace, Maxwell claimed he could only compare Tait, whom he faced in Australian domestic cricket during the latter part of his career, to that player. "It's such a beautiful, smooth action," Maxwell said. Mayank slid through the crease nicely. From a tempo perspective, I believe the only person I can somewhat compare it to is Shaun Tait at his prime.
"It hasn't been a great start for us or myself individually," remarked Maxwell. It's been a challenging process. Our conditions, which we likely generated in the first few home games as well, seem to have put us a little bit behind.
"I feel like it's been a little difficult for our overseas players to get into the game and get that kind of consistency of performance, but last year we had a beautiful even wicket that we were able to, I suppose, get ourselves into the game, get our top batters going. In T20 cricket, it may sometimes be difficult to pick up the pace after getting off to a sluggish start. Thus, maybe, this brief journey away helps us."
